为了帮助同学们提升平面设计水平，这个夏天，我们首次邀请到了Luke Pendrell教授，携手ARTSLINK零创平面导师们一起，用21天时间，绘制领土地图。

The Brief

WEEK.1 探索和收集

同学们依次介绍自己选择项目的初始想法，通过确定一个选题范围来进行调查、回应、参与。

通过探索和收集积累材料，确定选材和主题，过程将进行记录和录制。

WEEK.1 Drifting and Gathering (finding and collecting)

Introduction to the idea of starting a project not with a brief or a problem to solve, but by identifying an area to investigate, respond to and engage with.We'll cover they idea of site based work.In this context the site could be a physical area, such as city block and neighbourhood or even an apartment building, or a virtual space, such as google earth or social media.

We would look at artists and designers such as Sophie Calle, Oliver Kugler, Francis Alys, Michael Wolf, Olivia Twist, Pat Shan Wong, Tomato and Jon Rafman and Forensic architecture.Generating material and identifying themes by exploring and collecting accumulating material by documenting and recording.

Students would engage in practical exercises of identifying an area to explore then applying the above methods.

WEEK.2 排序和结构化

WEEK.2 Heaping and Stacking (ordering and structuring)

In this section we review the work we've made and begin to develop it.Developing the materials you have collected in week one and beginning to order and structure them.This is a diagnostic phase the mid point of the project where students will decide the medium of the project and refine their searches and generation accordingly.

Revisiting the area you've identified with a new sense of focus and purpose.In this section we will look at a range of strategies to organise and structure and students will work on ways to apply these to their own projects.Examples such as Jake Tilman, Broomberg and Chanarin, Hito Steyerl, Jørgen Leth, Ed Fella, Ed Ruscha, Charles and Ray Eames and Zino Sar Wiwa.

WEEK.3 整理完成

经过两周的课程，我们已经得到了一组有主题、起源和形式的作品，那么问题来了，它是为谁准备的，它在世界的什么地方？

WEEK.3 Finishing Connecting and (re)placing

In this section we have a body of work that has a theme, origins and a form, the question is, who is it for and where does it live in the world?Having extracted material form the world and given it a shape and a story, having made sense of it, who do we share this story with and how?

This section involves completing the work and finding a context for it. Rather than think of audiences, which are passive the modern world is full of dialogues, conversations.Who does your work connect with, where does this happen and how? Is this connection part of the work itself?looking at examples such as: Guerilla Girls Abbas Zahedi, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Agnes Denes, Jeremy Deller, Aram Bartol and revisit Pat Shan Wong and Forensic architecture.

Luke教授将带领大家着重研究完成作品集期间的“探索和收集过程”，它将会给大家带来新的灵感，最终会对这个过程进行分析。

对于“探索和收集过程”Luke教授更倾向于将它分成三个板块进行学习，围绕叙述性故事的三幕结构来构建项目框架，这也有助于同学们作品集地搭建以及完成。

同时，同学们在接触到同一个方法论下，得到的不同灵感和构思，Luke教授也会帮助你一起整理，以便同学们在结束时完成自己的作品集项目。

Luke Pendrell是英国皇家艺术学院视觉传达专业的高级课程导师，同时他也是一位艺术家和作家。

他的作品大多以探索为目标，探索我们感知到地变化和多孔的边缘，探索技术、哲学和神秘学的交汇点，探索我们构建的框架和虚构世界的意义。

Luke Pendrell本科毕业于利兹大学，然后在英国皇家艺术学院完成了他的硕士学位。作为先锋数字艺术团体“Antirom”的创始人之一，他的作品已经在国际上表演、放映和展览了20多年。包括：英国泰特（伦敦）、英国电影学院（伦敦）、巴比肯（伦敦）、MoMI（纽约）、当代艺术学院（伦敦）、MoMA（悉尼）、Cal Arts（洛杉矶）Le Salle de Legion d'honneur（巴黎）和ICC Tower Open Sky Gallery（香港）。
